After starting his own production and publishing company at the age of nineteen, Quincy Magee began working as a content producer, and marketing coordinator for companies such as Electric and Musical Industries and Sony Music Entertainment. By 2005, he was honored with a BRIT Award for Best British Album for his work on Coldplay’s “XY”. By 2006, a story he wrote was selected to be adapted into the 2006 film “The Holiday.” In 2009, Quincy Magee formally began his work in film as a producer, writer and director with The Walt Disney Company, when a story he wrote was selected to be adapted into the screenplay for the film ‘Up In the Air,” which won the 2010, Golden Globe Award for Best Screenplay – Motion Picture. Similarly in 2011, he was honored with an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for his work on the film “Midnight In Paris.” By 2012, he expanded his experience as a film, advertising, television, talent, music, and technology executive, managing his production company, his technology ventures, and an executive role at the American Broadcasting Company. During his venture with The Walt Disney Company, he began working as a producer, writer and director of many successful studio film franchises, video games, television shows, theatrical shows, consumer products and experiences via his production company, including ventures with Marvel Studios and Lucas Film. He then expanded his experience as a chief executive developing the plan for the 20th Century Fox acquisition, as well as, the Disney + platform. It is his passion for studio films, independent films, technology, sports, entertainment, and talent development which makes Quincy Magee one of the most sought after executives in the media business.
